A new trend of building a bridge with aluminum products in Canada
The newest research from Aluminum Association of Canada(ACC) shows that instead of using the rolled steel, using the aluminum products to fix an old bridge has become an inevitable trend in America and the east of Canada.
This research demonstrates that in the North America, there are more than 659 thousands bridges, most of which were built from 1945 to 1975, and some of them have turned out to be not so stable like before. From 1000 square kilometers around the Quebec, there are 1000-4000 bridges with small span, half of which are asking for renovation within ten years. And the suggestion from Aluminum Association of Canada(ACC) is that using the aluminum products can be a sound choice.
And this research is supported by the financial and economic sector of Quebec.
In this research, there is an example of using aluminum products to successfully renovate the face of bridge. One of the responsible person said that the success of this program will facilitate more greater programs. And thus Quebec will be a good example of using aluminum products to build and renovate bridges in the North America.
At the same time, the Canadian minister of Public Works And Government has said that there is a plan of rebuilding the suspension bridge above the Burlington Canal in Ontario will be performed within five years.
The association president of Aluminum Association of Canada said that we must seize the opportunity that the North America Company commits itself to promoting the bridges on a large scale. The aluminum products has the characteristics of durative and cyclicity. And in the bridge construction, we should take full advantage of those two characteristics of aluminum products. And in the future five years, using the aluminum products to both build and renovate the bridges will bring a huge change in the market.
